week 6 continued

My next assignment is based on Historical Design Movements my era is the Industrial Revolution of Art Nouveau of the 1880s-1910. Art Nouveau is considered an international movement, the name Art Nouveau is french for "New Art" this particular style of art consist of architecture applied art and especially the decorative arts. The main characteristics are organic, especially floral and other plants. This style of art has a high flow of curve linear forms abstract lines and shapes. Art Nouveau had a fifteen year peak that spread though Europe and Moscow to Spain. This style of art had great expression in glass as well as in jewelry. I enjoy this style  of art not only does it have an organic and industrial style ,but I think that it has a very feminine look to it. The style in the jewelry also has a feminine look the flow of the linear forms have this free flowing fabric look I love this era. The Industrial Revoloution was a period in major changes in agriculture, manufacturing production and transportation.
My assignment for next week is to gather 10-30 jpegs and information about my era and my product. Im having trouble finding my product history is not easy to find Im running out of ideals, but I do have information regarding my product of preserves for my presentation on thursday and jpegs.
My product assignment is to gather all the information I have and create a label for a product in which I have chosen to change into the era of Art Nouveau three variations of the same product with one design of my era.

WEEK 4

ASSIGNMENT: Present three versions of the compiled information on Abraham Lincoln.
 1. My first representation consisted of compiled quotes on Lincoln; that I laid out on a photograph of pennies scattered in no particular order. I was not happy with the lay out I was not that familiar with the software, but with help from my instructor I was able to come up with a better solution in my final poster. The group critique feed back also helped in my final information graph.
2. My second info graph was using the same quotes on Abraham this time I used and image of a penny that I googled and used that as my image in the center of my page using colors of green and copper surrounded my image with the quotes of on Lincoln again I was not happy, but group critique helps tremendously and I was able to see place of improvement.
3. My final version was of a graph using the letters of the subject quote on the left side of my graph and using number line across the lower part of the page. in colors of black for my font and white for my background. I eventually will be changing my final layout.
